Oral Hygiene
Most people do not understand
that their oral hygiene plays a
factor in their health in addition to
exercising and eating a
balanced diet.
Oral Hygiene
Preventive dentistry is the practice of caring for your teeth to keep them healthy. This helps prevent cavities, gum disease, enamel wear and more. Through routine dental checkups and cleanings we will strive to help you improve and maintain good oral health and we will recommend a treatment plan that best suits your needs.
Periodontics
Gum disease and poor oral health can lead to an unhealthy body and affect your day-to-day life. Periodontics refers to the aspect of dentistry that takes care of the gums and surrounding bone in your mouth. Gum disease, or periodontal disease, is a chronic infection in the gums that can lead to tooth decay and eventually tooth loss.
Prosthetics
Prosthetics replace missing teeth and help to improve appearance and function for the patient. We offer fixed and removable complete or partial dentures. We understand it is important to have comfortable and aesthetic prostheses and we take special care to ensure a natural looking smile.
Fixed + Functional Orthodontics
Functional appliances remodel bone as a non-surgical option for patients, while tooth problems are corrected with orthodontic braces. Ideal age for functional appliances is between ages 7 – 11 but we also treat teens and adults. The use of functional appliances can reduce the time required for fixed braces and also the need for the extraction of permanent teeth, Functional appliances develop the dental arches so that all the permanent teeth can erupt, which ensures a pleasing profile, broad smile and healthy jaw joints.
Root Canals
A root canal is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth. The procedure involves removing the infected area of the tooth, cleaning and disinfecting it and then filling and sealing it. The common causes for root canal treatment would be a cracked tooth, a deep cavity, repeated dental treatment to the tooth or trauma.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is surgically anchored into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth, bridge or overdenture in place. The benefit of using implants is that they do not rely on neighbouring teeth for support and they are permanent and stable. Since the implants are integrated into the structure of your bone they also help prevent bone loss and gum recession.
